Hot Springs County Commissioner Tom Ryan honored with the WCCA's

annual Riding for the Brand Award

Cheyenne, Wyoming – Hot Springs County Commissioner Tom Ryan has been named the 2025 recipient of the Wyoming County Commissioners Association’s (WCCA) prestigious Riding for the Brand Award. The honor was presented during the WCCA Fall Conference. Ryan was recognized by his peers—Wyoming’s 92 other county commissioners—for his leadership, advocacy, and steady commitment to strengthening Hot Springs County and all Wyoming counties.

“Tom brings his business experience to the WCCA board and county government with a smile that reminds us all why we do this work,” said WCCA President Natalia D. Macker. “He approaches every issue with thoughtfulness, optimism, and a deep respect for people, whether it’s colleagues, constituents, or his extended WCCA family.”

Ryan is co-chair of the WCCA Transportation and Veterans Affairs Committee and has represented counties at numerous legislative hearings, championing key issues including road and bridge funding and public safety communications improvements. He also represents counties on the Wyoming Department of Transportation’s Transportation Alternatives Program Committee, ensuring that county voices are heard at the state level.

Colleagues note that beyond his policy work, Ryan is known for the sense of family he brings to the commissioner role. To him, county leaders are not just partners in governance, but an extended family bound by a shared mission of service. His business acumen, approachable style, and unwavering optimism have made him a respected leader and trusted friend across Wyoming.
