A Blast from the Past

Kate has been doing some Spring cleaning of the files here at our Cheyenne office and came across this agenda from the WCCA Winter Meeting in 1988. It’s amazing how much has changed in the almost 3 decades since this meeting was held, from the typewriter printing to the barbershop quartet entertainment.

After perusing this document, the staff here in the office took note of a couple of things:

  • We are always on the lookout for educational and meaningful presentations for our meetings.  After looking over this agenda and seeing the amount of time spent on various committee meetings and general business, we hope that we have presently found a way to strike a good balance between providing educational opportunities and conducting the business of the association.
  • Even 27 years ago Wyoming Machinery was a big supporter of the WCCA.  We are very fortunate to have such a long standing and positive relationship with them.
  • We didn’t realize that the County Commissioners of the 80’s were such party animals! As much fun as we have at our social events, we do regret we haven’t ever hired a band for dancing until the wee hours of the morning.  Honestly, I can’t imagine that would make for a productive work environment the next morning.

We hope you all find this gem from the past as amusing as we do.  The WCCA has come a long way!  As always, if you ever have any suggestions on how we can improve on our meetings, please feel free to drop me a line or give me a call.
